Beskydy Mountain Hiking Trip vol. 2

Hiking season is back!

Let’s enjoy wandering in nature together again! This route was planned for last autumn but we never went due to the pandemic situation. Now we are back and full of energy and introduce to you hidden hikes in Beskydy!

Where: We will meet at Ostrava Main Train Station! Our train leaves at 8:42 am to Návsí! We will enjoy the walking trip on the east side of Beskydy Mountain close to the Polish border. You may have heard about Lysa Hora but what about Filipka?!

We will manage an elevation gain of 475 m up – it means that we will go uphill but everyone should be able to make it.

We will also stop by the milk farm, where you can buy homemade cheese! After that, we will reach the peak. We can pause for a refreshment or a little snack in Filipka or a lunch in the village.
We will decide together if 11,5 km is enough for us or we want to add 5 more.

In both cases, we will continue hiking to Bystřice, where we will take a direct train back to Ostrava (it goes every hour).

You can expect outstanding views, 11,5 or 16,5 km on a moderate trail suitable for everyone. (we will decide the length of the track according to the weather condition)
When: Saturday, June 19, 2020

Meeting point: 8:15 in front of the building Ostrava Main train station

Useful info: Take money for a train ticket, lunch, WATER, maybe some snacks, if you are always hungry 🙂 good clothes regarding the weather forecast and HIKING SHOES. Some parts of the way might contain gravel roads and there could be a slightly muddy path depending on previous weather.

The event will take place only in good weather!
